I have many goals and I know who is keeping me accountable.

Instead of setting a goal for 2021, set up a support system, that will keep you accountable. What is the use of having a list of goals which you will not get through past January?

  1. Have you tried to accomplish a goal and failed, gave up after one thing that did not go your way. You want it but you just can’t get a break. You are not alone. Or better yet have you told yourself that you will start with your goals tomorrow, today you will take it easy because it has been a stressful year.
  2. To achieve your goals you need someone who can keep you accountable to yourself. If you say you will do something the other person will keep you on your toes to make sure you do it by the deadline. You need someone who will not let you get away with anything.
  3. Finding this person can be challenging but it’s a necessary step for you to achieve success this year. Ask a mentor, or business contact, or hire a coach who will make sure that you will do what you say you will do.
  4. It’s like going to the gym if you want to lose 10 pounds, you can probably do it yourself with a lot of effort, why not hire a professional who will keep you on your feet
  5. If you have had difficulty following through this is an excellent strategy to keep yourself on track. If a goal is very important to you find someone who will not be afraid to confront you and give you feedback. If you don’t have a mentor who is willing to talk to you in a regular basis perhaps it’s time to invest in yourself and hire a coach. You will get together monthly or BI weekly to discuss progress. This person will keep you accountable for staying the course with your goals. Some tactics may be tough but this is what is needed to achieve success and keep you honest to make sure you will do it
