Many people today are lost and are struggling with the uncertainly in their lives. That is the troubling environment that made Michelle Perchuk come up with her amazing and heroic concept. She wants to help people get through this time and come out more focused and wiser. As a career coach she has spent over two decades specializing in guiding individuals in choosing a career path best suited to their talents and aspirations. What better time than now to help people with their plans as they start to come back to the new normal. She wants to work with individuals who want more passion and success in your careers but most of all to explore if their profession enables them to work remotely and if not how could it. These questions are on everyone’s minds today but not many people have access to a career coach.

That is why the idea was born, and Michelle is committed to helping as many people as possible. After all, we are in this together. Having counseled and placed thousands of job applicants at an impressive array of Fortune 1000 and Fortune 500 companies, she believes that extensive recruiting experience adds a valuable dimension to her coaching practice. Undoubtedly, its her personal resilience that is intoxicating, she personally survived and maintained a career and a business through 3 major disasters New York City has ever seen. After the 9/11 Attack she worked with her Wall Street clients to get them up and running with emergency staff. On the brink of the 2008 Recession she went into her own business and grew it during the most challenging times in history. Then having to rebuild it again after many financial clients were closed for months due to Hurricane Sandy.

“It pains me to see so many talented and ambitious people choosing to be negative during times of quarantine and isolation.” She is empathetic that uncertainty during this time could be frightening but if we are going to make a choice, why be negative when you can be positive. Yes, its easier said than done, and Michelle finds herself often wondering how she will go on with her coaching practice as people start going back to work and it will take time for the economy to pick up.  She admits that during these emotional times that she does the most learning and self reflection and emerges with more knowledge than before. She has learned to embrace her feelings and finds value and inspiration to grow and coach. “Masterpieces are created during emotional times when individuals feel blue.” she often reveals during her coaching sessions.

Perchuk gives examples of numerous clients who were mediocre in their line of work and after a period of time working with her, became better producers and received recognition from management. She came to a realization that if she can improve peoples lives and offer hope in time of crisis, then it is her calling and she must do it no matter what. That is her mission and that is the sole purpose of her coaching marathon.
